The Arrábida Natural Park, established in 1976, protects a unique landscape where the limestone cliffs of the Arrábida Mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean. Within its protected coastal waters, the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park safeguards over 38 kilometres of coastline and one of Portugal’s richest marine ecosystems, home to more than 2,000 recorded marine species.
This exceptional region is part of the UNESCO Arrábida Biosphere Reserve, while Setúbal Bay is recognised as a member of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, international distinctions that reflect its outstanding ecological, scenic and cultural value.

We carefully select our anchoring locations, avoiding, whenever possible, environmentally sensitive areas and vulnerable marine habitats. Among them are seagrass meadows, vital underwater nurseries that provide shelter, food and breeding grounds for countless marine species.
Anchoring responsibly is not simply good seamanship; it is a tangible way of protecting the life beneath the surface and preserving this unparalleled natural heritage.
